Action and Adventure
What an action-packed first week back!
In English, Year 5 have been learning about adventure stories. We have been exploring heroic characters and dramatic settings. We've also been thinking about commas and how the placement of commas within a sentence can drastically change it's meaning.
Action-packed PE lessons have seen us showing great stamina in cross-country running, and aiming for the bullseye in archery lessons.
In PSHE, we've been learning about fire safety and practising the "stop, drop and roll" technique. We've also been sharing and appreciating cultural differences.
In quieter moments...we've been statisticians in Maths, using data in graphs and tables to solve mathematical problems and drawing our owns graphs from data we've collated. We've also compared insect, mammal, bird and amphibian lifecycles in our science lessons.
What a week!
