Help for Our Health And Wellbeing

What is Wellbeing?

Wellbeing encompasses all different areas of health: physical, mental and emotional. It's important to look after all of these areas in order to maintain a healthy wellbeing overall. Wellbeing is also defined as the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy. More generally, wellbeing is just feeling well. Mental wellbeing doesn't have one set meaning; we might use it to talk about how we feel, how well we're coping with daily life or what feels possible at the moment.

Children's wellbeing is a combination of their physical, mental, emotional and social health. These elements all contribute to their overall wellbeing, and it's important for parents, carers and educators to encourage a positive wellbeing feeling in our children from an early age. Because a range of different elements contribute to children's wellbeing, there are also lots of ways that we can help support their wellbeing. Being a good role model for them and teaching them to improve their wellbeing are some of the most effective ways to help create a positive attitude towards mental health and wellbeing in your child.
